CONTESTS:

MOST BEAUTIFUL TOMATO CONTEST! . A contest that Defies Description! Here is how it works: Take an ordinary tomato , and dress, adorn, or decorate it as if it were an entrant in a beauty contest or headed to a costume party. ( It helps if you think of your tomato as a small round person who is just ripe to get dressed up and go out on the town!) And Remember, there may be 50 ugly Tomatoes, but there is only 1 Beautiful one!

THE UGLIEST TOMATO CONTEST  We love UGLY tomatoes. The uglier the better. Look in your garden and find a wonderfully weird ( but edible) UGLY tomato and head for the Tomato Festival to enter it in the soon to be coveted title of “Ugliest Tomato”. And if somehow you can’t find an ugly tomato, come downtown to see all the amazingly ugly tomato entries for the contest.

The BIGGEST and LITTLEST Tomato Contest (both Red & Green ) Who says size doesn’t matter. Well, this time it does! Bring us your largest or tiniest tomato you can find and compete for the braggin’ rights to the most gargantuan  or ittiest  bittiest tomato in TOWN!

WOOHOO! THE FIRST ANNUAL RED HEAD CONTEST! NO registration needed,  just show up with your locks (hair). Categories for women, men, kids and for those (artificially enhanced redheads) that’s not real. Not to be missed! Paint you face red and your hair green, make yourself a RED HEAD or Tomato Head!!!!!!!!!!

DURANGO

http://www.thedurangoband.com/

DURANGO... plays music that makes you want to dance! We strive to perform a wide variety of music. Everything from 1940's country swing and old time country standards to Elvis Presley, 1960's- 70's R&B/Motown tunes and Rock'n Roll classics to current country radio popular playlists. Durango is a group of guys that have kept folks dancing and taping their toes for over twenty five years, and had a BLAST doing it! Originally the band performed Gospel music in the early 1980's and by the mid 80's began playing area clubs as the Southern Seven Band and later were known as The Wild Horse Band. From the beginning, the core of the band has always been guitarists and brothers, Gerald (a.k.a. "Jerry") and ("Big") Ed Stephenson. Keyboardist and vocalist, Mark Storey joined the Stephenson brothers in 1986. In 1996, Nashville recording artist, Rob Huggins stepped up on stage to add his distinctive vocal sound to the mix. The Durango sound was raised to an entirely new level in 2004 when the regionally well known drummer /percussionist, Dennis Morgan joined the group in 2004. DURANGO rocks on with the best variety of dance music in the region bar none! Check out DURANGO on the web.
